Charge at night, pay less

In the Involta app you set the charging hours to match a cheaper tariff. In the morning the car is charged and the electricity bill is lower.

  • Cheaper hours (example: G12 tariff): 0:00 to 6:00, 13:00 to 15:00, 22:00 to 24:00
  • Scheduled charging: 0:00 to 5:30, 22:00 to 24:00

The cheaper hours depend on your energy supplier and tariff.

Will the charger fit my car?

Involta chargers, wallboxes and cables use the Type 2 connector, the European standard. How fast you charge also depends on the car: its maximum AC charging power from the technical data.

What is the difference between a portable charger and a wallbox?

You plug a portable charger into a household or industrial socket and can keep it in the boot. A wallbox is fixed to the wall and connected by an electrician.

Do I need an electrician to install a wallbox?

Yes. A wallbox is wired permanently into the electrical installation, so a qualified electrician must install it. Portable chargers need no installation.

What is a Type 2 cable for?

For charging at public AC stations and from wallboxes without their own cable. A 22 kW cable also works with 11 kW stations.
